What I Got for Christmas 2017 – Part 2

I have already uploaded a post containing the majority of what I received for Christmas on Boxing Day, however, I did receive more gifts after Christmas so I thought some of you may be interested in what else I got. I know these posts can be pretty controversial but I love reading them so I thought why not. Just a little disclaimer that I am in no way bragging and I am extremely grateful for everything that I was given.

I finished my job at Marks & Spencer so I decided to go to Chesterfield to visit Daniel after not seeing him for a while. I was so excited as we could finally exchange gifts and spend as much time together as we wanted. As this is the first year we have had jobs, we were able to spoil each other which is so fun and exciting. I think this was the main reason why I couldn’t wait for Christmas this year.

I love playing on my Nintendo 3DS, especially when I have long train or bus journeys to endure. I actually asked for this but a long time ago so I was so excited when I saw that Daniel had bought Miitopia. This game is so cute, you get to fight the Dark Lord with your friends and help the people of Greenhorne. I have been playing this nonstop since getting it, I am a huge fan.

When I first met Daniel, he bought me Guardians of the Galaxy on DVD as I had just missed it in the cinema and I was a huge Marvel fan. I also just missed Guardians of the Galaxy 2 in the cinema so he actually bought me the DVD for Christmas. I have to say, it’s not quite as good as the first one but I still enjoyed it and I am so grateful for this thoughtful gift.

I love to read but I never seem to have the time although I am hoping to read a lot more in 2018. I have just finished reading Bridget Jones’s Diary so I have been looking for something new to read and Dan bought me not one, but three books. I recently watched Murder on the Orient Express as I love detective stories so Dan bought me the book for Christmas. He also bought me The Handmaid’s Tale and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. I loved The Handmaid’s Tale when it was on TV and I am a huge fan of Harry Potter so these were such thoughtful gifts and I am extremely grateful.

Now I nearly cried with excitement when I opened this. I didn’t ask for this but I have said that I have wanted one for at least two years. I wasn’t expecting to get this at all so when I saw that Daniel had bought me an Amazon Firestick, I was so flipping excited. I don’t have a Smart TV but I always use Netflix on my laptop and sometimes I like to work whilst I was TV so I usually just use an HDMI cable and use the split screen feature. I have tried this out and can confirm that I am already a huge fan.

I love elephants and I used to have a silver elephant necklace that I wore every day but unfortunately, I lost it somewhere so Dan decided to buy me a new one and I love it. It goes perfectly with the earrings that I featured in my last post from Laura. I love that this necklace isn’t too short or too long and goes well with any outfit.

I am so so thankful for all of these gifts and I feel so lucky. What did you get for Christmas? Or what is your favourite thing that you gave to someone else?

  5. I loved my nintendo 3ds when traveling, but, now that I have a tablet, I didn’t really use it much so I sold it. I’ll probably be getting one for my daughter in a couple of years lol
