5 Places I Want to Visit in 2018

It’s been 6 months since I was in Peru and I’m starting to get itchy feet. I love visiting new countries and experiencing their culture or lifestyle. I’m always looking for deals on cheap city breaks and I plan to go on so many more.

I have wanted to go to Belgium since I was about 16-years old so I think it’s about time to visit. I may actually be going to Brussels later this month but even if it doesn’t happen then, I hope to at some other time within the next year. I would love to take part in a waffle making workshop because what better way to learn how to make waffles than being taught in Belgium?

Vienna looks so beautiful in both winter and summer so this is somewhere that I would be happy to visit all year round. Austria looks beautiful as a whole so I would also love to visit Salzburg and go on a Sound of Music tour. I bet the local food and beer would be delicious so I would love to try that. I just want to travel around Europe but I think Vienna would be a nice place to start.

This one may be slightly less exciting as it is still in the UK but I have always wanted to go to Manchester. I have not explored much of the north but I know that there is so much to see in Manchester. Firstly, I would love to go shopping at the Trafford Centre because there is so much there but I would have to wait until I actually have some money. Apparently, the nightlife is brilliant in Manchester so I would love to try a cocktail bar or two. For those arty folk, there are loads of art galleries and museums too. uk_city_guide_manchester_02.jpg

I very nearly went to Edinburgh in 2016 but instead when to Amsterdam as it was considerably cheaper. I have never been to Scotland so I hope that I can change that in 2018. I have seen photos of everyone at the Edinburgh Christmas market and it looks amazing. I would love to go to the Fringe Festival as I think that would be such a cool experience and not something that you’d think of doing every year.

When I was about 12, I went on a family holiday to Sardinia and ever since, I have wanted to see more of Italy. Next year, I would love to visit Venice because it looks absolutely stunning. There’s also a lot of culture in Venice so I would love to visit various museums and art galleries. Also, who doesn’t want to spend a few days having an abundance of pizza and ice cream?

  1. I would love to do a tour of Europe and the Mediterranean. However, my all-time must visit place is Stavenger, Norway. There are so many beautiful places in the world. I believe God created this world for exploration so we can appreciate its beauty.

  5. There are so many places that I would like to visit this year and from your list I would have to say that Italy is definitely top of the list. I was meant to go to Tuscany last year so I am hoping that I will be able to go this year instead!

  6. These are excellent choices, a few of them are on my travel bucket list as well. Venice is a gorgeous but small city, and you can easily conquer it in two days. I recommend traveling in the off-season so you can wander the narrow streets taking in all of its beauty without feeling cramped by tourists. There are so many things I recommend in Italy and if you have a chance to visit more than one city while there I would say go for Florence or Milan. No matter where you end up in Italy, you will be inundated with culture, art, and history but those are two of my favorite cities on earth. Can’t wait to read about your travels this year!

  7. I also want to visit all of these places! This year, I’ll be kicking off the year with a trip to Vegas and Arizona, and then in the summer I’ll road trip across America! I’m hoping to make it to Europe at one point!

  8. These all look like wonderful places to go, I haven’t been to any of them. I already have all my 2018 travels booked and ready to go. My favorite two I am doing is probably the two cruises I will be going on. One in March and one in December.

  9. Since I’m new here in the U.S, I want to visit New York and every state, to see what’s the difference of each. To meet a lot of new friends along the way and get my family some good fun outdoor adventure in a new environment as well.

  12. All these are wonderful places to visit! I dream of a tour in East Europe. But with 2 young children possibilities are limited. I’m planning to visit 4 cities (that’s a max with a 2 year old) next Spring, Prague, Warsaw, Moscow and Saint Petersburg. I hope it’ll come true! We also go to Italy every year for Summer, since my hubby is Italian and we go visit his family, so most probably we’ll go in 2018 as well. This is an even number year, that means we might also get to go to my home country, Argentina. Although that might have to wait until next Christmas…
